James Twyman adds his voice to a Global Stand for Peace

And supports the 'Global United Party for Peace'

'The Peace Troubadour', James Twyman, the internationally renowned best-selling author (The Art of Spiritual Peace Making & The Moses Code), film maker (Indigo) and musician, has added his voice to a global stand for peace and is supporting 'Peace In Our Lifetimes' innovative 'Global United Party For Peace' project.

"I love the vision of this project and the creativity that inspired it. Today more and ever before we need to think outside the box and offer new ideas that help humanity see its own potential,“ said James, “This idea does all of that and I'm in full support."

'Peace In Our Lifetime' was inspired and founded by Actress and Peace Pioneer 'Lynne Hazelden'. It's aim is to count one billion people around the world who make a personal and conscious choice to stand together for peace, freely and uniquely. “Peace begins with each person”, said Ms Hazelden, “and ripples out to those we care for in our family, friends, communities eventually reaching out across the world to everyone.”

Through its website (www.peaceinourlifetime.org), 'Peace In Our Lifetime' acknowledges and thanks those which give their voice to peace, by providing them with a free personalized 'Peace Voice Certificate'. The certificate and campaign aims to unite all: causes, people, cultures, nations, beliefs and non-beliefs' to one voice. James Twyman has added his voice to Peace, his unique voice number is 0,000,000,434.

On 21st September, humanity celebrates 'Peace Day', a Global ceasefire observed by all United Nations. It was established in 1999 by 'Peace One Day', a global community founded and led by British film-maker Jeremy Gilley. He established the organisation to find a starting point for peace. He succeeded and thanks to his hard work, the United Nations agreed the 21st September as an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence for all people. On this day, in 2007, in Afghanistan, through the efforts of 'Peace One Day', 1.4 million children were immunised for Polio.

To support and bring attention to 'Peace One Days' extraordinary work and to thank people around the world who create peace every day, 'Peace In Our Lifetime' has organised 'Global United Parties for Peace'. The parties have been organised in conjunction with a number of key partners, including 'Peace Jam', a pioneering organisation who partner youth with Nobel Laureates. It is their intention to bring forth the next generation of peacemakers through worldwide projects.

Parties for peace will be held in nations across the world, including UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Hawaii, South Africa and Jerusalem. Talented international musicians will be performing at the peace parties, 'Mike Lindup' of 'Level 42', along with 'Steve Balsamo', Heather Cairncross and 'Antonio Forcione' who will be playing at the UK event in London. Singer, Porscha Parker who’s P.E.A.C.E inspiration video is supporting this initiative in the USA. All of the parties will be streamed live on the internet and also in 'Secondlife'.

The party is designed to bring attention to the seeming little known fact that on this day humanity lay down our weapons by conscious choice”, said Ms Hazelden, “Through our event we wish to thank each person for the unseen work which they do every day and the extraordinary kindness, compassion and love that they bring to the world, sometimes in the face of very difficult and challenging circumstances.”

James Twyman works towards peace every day. Sometimes in challenging circumstances, performing peace concerts in war zones like Iraq, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Bosnia and Serbia. Through his work he has helped draw millions of people together in prayer to influence events of world crisis. His CD's have inspired hundreds of thousands of people. His renowned performances at the United Nations, US Capitol and Pentagon, as well as grass roots projects like The Cloth of Many Colors, have made him one of the most influential spiritual peacemakers in the world.

James is a true inspiration”, said Ms Hazelden, “We are delighted to have his support and we hope that people will follow in his footsteps and add their own voice for peace by downloading a free peace certificate from our website: www.peaceinourlifetime.org”

Editors Notes

'Peace In Our Lifetime' (www.peaceinourlifetime.org) is the sister organisation of 'Planting Seeds and The Kind Foundation' (www.planting-seeds.com). The organisation was inspired and founded by Lynne Hazelden (www.lynnehazelden.com) an actress (number of roles including playing Karie Neth in Star Wars: Return of The Jedi) (www.imdb.com/name/nm2368182/), peace pioneer (worked on the ''Nelson Mandela Tribute', 'John Lennon Tribute', and 'The Hunger Project'), philosophical poet & writer and transformation facilitator

A number of volunteers around the world have been inspired by Lynnes' work and together have developed the innovative 'Peace In Our Lifetime' movement. Its aims are to:

  •

Unite all: causes, people, cultures, nations, beliefs and non-beliefs.

  • Recruit one billion people to add their voice to peace, by downloading a free Peace Certificate (http://www.planting-seeds.com/i_stand_peace_our_lifetime) Why one billion? This figure is more than ten percent of the whole population - which quantum scientists say will create a shift in consciousness.

'James Twyman' (www.jamestwyman.com) is an internationally renowned, best-selling author, filmmaker and musician who has a reputation for traveling to some of the world's greatest areas of conflict, sharing his message of peace. He has been called "The Peace Troubadour" and has performed his peace concert in countries like Iraq, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Bosnia and Serbia, drawing millions of people together in prayer to influence events of world crisis. James has written ten books including Emissary of Light, Emissary of Love, The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking and more recently The Moses Code. He has also produced or directed four films including the award winning Indigo, and the film version of The Moses Code. His CD's have inspired hundreds of thousands of people, and his performances at the United Nations, US Capitol and Pentagon, as well as grass roots projects like The Cloth of Many Colors, have made him one of the most influential spiritual peacemakers in the world. James is also the president of The Beloved Community, an inter-religious organization that has ordained over 400 ministers of peace around the world, and the founder of The Seminary of Spiritual Peacemaking.

'Peace One Day' (www.peaceoneday.org) is founded by British Filmaker Jeremy Gilley. In 1999, Jeremy launched 'Peace One Day' to find a starting point for peace. His mission: to document efforts to establish the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence. Remarkably, two years on, he achieved this when the 192 member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted 21 September, as an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence. This day is a 24 hour-long platform for life-saving activities around the world. On Peace Day 2007 in Afghanistan, through the efforts of 'Peace One Day', 1.4 million children were immunised for Polio.

'Peace Jam' (www.peacejam.org) and (http://peacejam.org/press.aspx#top) is:

  •

A worldwide movement of young people and Nobel Peace Prize Winners working together for social justice and peace.

  •  A youth leadership program that focuses on Nobel Peace Laureates, their work, and issues facing young people today. Nobel Laureates include: Archbishop Desmond Tutu, The Dalai Lama, Jody Williams, Oscar Arias Sanchez, Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Adolfo Perez Esquivel, Mairead Corrigan Maguire, Betty Williams, Shirin Ebadi, Jose Ramos-Horta, Aung San Suu Kyi (still under house arrest in Burma).

'Global United Party for Peace' (http://www.planting-seeds.com/peace_day_21st_sept_2009) on 21st September, in support of 'Peace One Day's excellent work, 'Peace In Our Life Time', in conjunction with 'Peace Jam' (http://peacejam.org/) and other organisations, will be holding a 'Global United Party for Peace'.
